Abstract:
During our school life, we learned basic theories about sampling, information, estimation, detection, digital signal processing, etc. Based on these fundamental theories, communication systems evolve to what we see now. In this talk, I would like to share with you some experiences in designing and implementing a communication transceiver, from both theoretical and practical/engineering point of views. Several system/function design examples will be provided to specifically show additional considerations and tradeoffs beyond what we learned in textbooks.

Bio:
Kai-Jie Yang received the PhD degree in communications engineering from National Tsing-Hua University in 2009. During the period of 2009 and 2012, he was a post-doctoral fellow in Institute of Communications Engineering, Nation Tsing-Hua University. Since 2013, he has joined Realtek Semiconductor Corporation as a senior engineer.
