Topic: 

  The classical problems in discrete geometry

 

Abstract: 

  In this talk, I will introduce the classical research problems in discrete geometry such as the sphere packing problems and kissing number problems. Maryna Viazovska solved the sphere packing problems in dimensions 8 and 24, and then she got the fields medal in 2022. I will also mention the notion of spherical designs and few distance sets. Then, I will mention my results about the maximum size of spherical two-distance sets in Euclidean space and Hamming space.

 

Autobiography: 

  2002年清華數學系畢業。榮獲教育公費留學至美國馬里蘭大學獲取數學博士學位。曾任職密西根州立大學與布朗大學（ＩＣＥＲＭ）博士後。目前任教於國立中央大學數學系。曾獲國科會四年優青計畫與國家科學理論研究中心（ＮＣＴＳ）年輕理論學者獎。研究專長為離散幾何，Coding Theory與組合圖論領域。
