Abstract:
In this talk, I will first provide some background review for physical-layer security, and then introduce some recent results done by my team in this field. In recent years, a beamforming technique called "masked beamforming" is extensively studied to combat eavesdropping and achieve physical-layer security. This technique will be introduced in this talk. In general, full channel state information (CSI) between TX-RX link is not available to the transmitter. In this case, CSI is quantized and sent back to the transmitter via limited feedback. I will also introduce some quantization ideas that helps in maximizing the secrecy rate for this masked beamforming system.
