Abstract:
Long Term Evolution (LTE) is a wireless broadband technology developed by the 3GPP as the next step in a progression from GSM and WCDMA. LTE Advanced is further developed and approved by ITU-T as a candidate 4G system. Currently, further development of 5G new radio access technologies are been discussed in 3GPP meetings. After continuously attending 3GPP meetings for many years, the speaker would like to take this opportunity to share what he learned from those meetings.

In this talk, the speaker will first focus on the non-orthogonal multiple access technology. Some selected topics such as new waveform candidate, channel coding will be further explained and hope the audience can find some interesting research topics related to the practical communication standard from this talk.
