IC設計公司裡，演算法設計者在做些甚麼以及能做甚麼。
由多年從事網通演算法設計與帶領SoC開發專案的經驗，來看演算法設計者所需具備的能力與特質，以解決開發過程中常面臨的挑戰，以及成為公司的核心競爭力。在這技術快速更迭的年代，如何因應，與同學分享及建議。
In the IC design company, what an algorithm designer do and what he can do? In this talk, the speaker will share his experiences from the wireless communication SoC developments to specify the required capability and characteristics of an algorithm designer.
He will also talk about the challenges those usually encountered during algorithm design and realization. Being the core competence and adapting to the fast changing technologies, we'll have his advice to the students.

聯陽半導體 iTE Technologies (2008-2013) 資深經理
詠發科技 Afa Technologies (2004-2008) 副理
自我介紹
2004年進入IC設計產業，從事Digital TV Receiver及網通相關系統晶片開發。曾先後加入新創公司詠發科技及聯陽半導體，參與DVB-T、HomePlug-AV、DVB-H、TDMB等IC的研發。期間除了負責DTV及Power-Line Communication的通訊/DSP演算法技術，並擔任DVB-T Product Line多項主要產品開發專案Project Leader，帶領DVB-T/DVB-H/T-DMB multi-stand 以及RF-Tuner/Demod SoC 等DTV Receiver 晶片產品開發，於PCTV/Set-Top Box應用領域為技術及市占領先的front-end solution。
2013年加入聯詠科技，負責無線網通相關IP/SoC訊號處理演算法開發，並lead 802.11b/g/n WiFi SoC專案，完成聯詠首顆WiFi晶片產品，搭配影像晶片拓展低功耗影像傳輸應用。目前帶領SoC長發小組算法團隊發展智慧音訊相關技術。
