Abstract:
From the Ukrainian-Russian War that shocked the world in March 2022 this year, LEO operator Starlink, shipped the entire container of LEO ground receiving equipment for free to stop Russia attempt to paralyze the Ukrainian communication system. 2022 Sep Apple announced iPhone 14 can issue emergency SOS via satellite. We can know from the above-mentioned globally known news that the influence of satellite communication on the next generation of communication in the future, this kind of network system with global coverage can strengthen the insufficiency of the original communication system. Those news proof, with the proliferation of 5G networks, it is imperative that satellite communication systems integrate with 5G technology. Non-terrestrial networks (NTN) are expanding into satellite systems as part of 3GPP. In this presentation, we will explore the concept of 5G NTN, and look at the key test challenges and potential interference issues in the network. We will introduce a Keysight solution to address satellite and NTN field deployment and troubleshooting issues.
Biography:
Philip Chang joined Hewlett Packard Taiwan in begin of 1999 and keep going involve in wireless communication measurement even sprite to Agilent Technologies in 2000 and Keysight Technologies in 2014. Philip majors support on Spectrum, VSA, Signal Generator, Wireless OBT and customized total solution. It includes the project solution, instrument support and consult. Philip takes all the Wireless, EMC, AD and new generation communication like 5G technologies, LEO and NTN application. In Wireless field include 2G,3G,4G telecomm, and Bluetooth, WiFi, Zigbee, NFC, GNSS, DVB, IoT, mmW and OTA measurement and analysis. Philip planed and implemented lot of rack of system like Survelliance、EMC、DVB-T/H RF Performance、Femtocell and RFIC Test System from 1999 to now. Philip holds a Master degree in Transportation and Communication Manager Science from National Cheng Kung University and Bachelor degree in Physics from Tung-Hai University in Taiwan.
