Topic:

Brain-Computer Interface: Trends and Challenges

Abstract:

Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) provide a direct link between the human brain and computers, enabling real-time monitoring of physiological and cognitive states. While there have been significant advances in BCI research, transitioning from laboratory-oriented studies to practical, real-world applications poses many challenges, including issues related to usability, convenience, and integration with other technologies. This talk presents an overview of the latest trends and challenges in real-world BCI technology, including recent advancements in deep learning techniques for EEG data analysis and the development of open-source analytical tools. I will also examines practical challenges of implementing BCI systems in real-world scenarios, such as user comfort, calibration time, and human variability in EEG data.
