3GPP 衛星通訊發展現況及預測

Abstract: 

3GPP是國際上最重要的無線通訊標準組織，一直以來成功制定了3G、4G和5G等通訊標準，為無線通訊技術的發展做出了重要貢獻。5G Release 17嘗試建立全球統一的公開衛星通訊標準。透過這一標準，現已實現市售5G手機在緊急狀況下透過衛星發送救難簡訊的功能。同時，語音通話品質和資料傳輸速度等功能也在不斷提升和改善中。 3GPP正在制定的Release 18將進一步擴展頻譜，將頻段擴展到18GHz/28GHz，並通過改進天線設計，提升上下行服務速度和服務範圍。除此之外，3GPP也致力於改善地面網路和衛星網路間切換的服務連續性，並探索發展空地一體的3D網路，這些都是未來B5G/6G技術發展的重要方向。

Biography: 

Shin-Lin Shieh received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from National Tsinghua University, Taiwan, in 1999 and 2001, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department Communication Engineering, National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, in 2008. He joined the Industrial Technology Research Institute, Taiwan, in 2002, where he was engaged in the development of baseband communication algorithms. In 2005, he joined Sunplus Technology Company Ltd., where he was involved in designing baseband algorithms of EDGE, WCDMA, HSDPA, and LTE. In 2010, he joined the Department of Communication Engineering, National Taipei University, Taiwan, where he is currently a Professor and chairperson.
